Thanks Perry. The jacket was made by Anthony Foxx. I believe that brand was active during the 80s and early 90s. Pigskin suede and acrylic knits. Knit sleeves are great for bicycling, which is what I'm going to be doing shortly. You have on a very nice Adam today. Looks good.

The Carlton brand was often found in Europe distributed by both French and German stores and appears to be a large retailer that relied on third-party manufacturers
This hat was produced in France probably in the 40s or 50s, The paper label said so

Great hat and possible story. I love the flight jackets they're wearing.Stetson No.Quality purchased from the Chestnut St. store sometime in the late 1930s - early 1940s.
A hand written name underneath the sweatband inspired a search. Could it have belonged to Tuskegee Airman Armour McDaniel? The match is not perfect - McDaniel (not McDaniels) is shown as a Lt. Colonel. But he did attend Temple University in Philadelphia before the War. Perhaps the name was written by someone else at a later time? A fine hat with a good story somewhere... perhaps this one!

Looks great, Terry! The vent holes are neat. You sure can work those conversions.Wearing my most recent conversion project. Looks like this one started out as a New York State Trooper's hat. I sized this one up and made a thin ribbon fedora out of it. It's going to be my outside activities hat. Vent holes on each side of the crown and slots on the brim for a head strap. I'll have more later in the Conversion Corral...

Thank you, D! This was how the hat looked before I sized it up and converted it. Somebody did a little research on it and found that it was originally a New York State Patrolman's hat, purple ribbon and all. I'll have more later in the Conversion Corral...
