Greetings All:
Today...i discovered the H2 can eat the baddests**ed battery in 4 hrs if you leave the key on. So...i’m porching and pondering coulda shouldas with The Disney Camel Hair. Nice company to have.
I penned it up with the Borsa Angora with high hopes for hybrid offspring after the consummation.
I appreciate all the kind words for the Borsa et al. as always family loungers.

A hand written name underneath the sweatband inspired a search. Could it have belonged to Tuskegee Airman Armour McDaniel? The match is not perfect - McDaniel (not McDaniels) is shown as a Lt. Colonel. But he did attend Temple University in Philadelphia before the War. Perhaps the name was written by someone else at a later time? A fine hat with a good story somewhere... perhaps this one!

The sun seems to be here to stay

Super Sala size 59 or 7 3/8 US. New, never worn, ita has the label still in the sweatband

Carlo Sala was one of the last producers of Monza, once one of the capital of hats production in Italy.

It is made in hare "lepre raso" with the frabric sweatband and no lining. Very soft felt, so malleable with a fancy ribbon

It was a mid to low end hat in the seventies when the hats in Italy was in deep decrease

Today I wore an early effort by The Well Dressed Head - from the shop-cleaning sale a few months back. It has some funky construction notes as Keith wrestled with a cowhide cap for the first time. His recent leather caps are to die for, of course.

Started out the day in safari mode, ended up in golf mode.

The rain never materialized and the clouds mostly dissipated, so it is in the mid to upper 70s here now.

Michael, no matter if it's safari mode, golf mode, or coffee time that hat and especially its ribbon will suffice any summer time occasion.

Thanks Steve. i was pretty happy to find that one a few weeks back. Probably my nicest Panama. Love that Wide old ribbon Battersby you are wearing today. Makes me want to pull out my Resistol Caronia tomorrow.
