SGF whipped this up for a good friend and neighbor's birthday tomorrow.

Storebrand "Baumkuchen" and some of my beloved coffee-ring cookies with coarse sugar. Rounded with a nice german classic brand peppermint tea. Life's good... :D

I made brownies from scratch. I didn't have any brownie mix and didn't feel like going to the store for it, but I had everything I needed to make them in the pantry. So, I whipped up a batch.

Just finished up some Popeyes chicken. I didn't know until I got back to my office that they had given me twice as many tenders as I ordered. I shouldn't have eaten them all.

I regret nothing.
I regret everything.
Of the non-local fried chicken places, Popeyes is probably my favorite. I like the spices they use, and the batter they use on the skin has a very satisfying crunch to it.

I got some chocolate-sprinkled coffee ring-cookies and nice storebrand Oreos. :)

And I tell you, after my first tries in the last days, I comprehended the Oreo-thing! Not too sweet, very nice toasty, crunchy, handy, fine with coffee. Worth to buy. :)
I guess, I have to try the classic style, Oreos + milk, too.

Chex Mix. It was all the snack machine had that was worth my dollar.

It reminded me of when my grandmother used to make it from scratch every Christmas. Despite everything that happened over the years, I do look back fondly on her snacks. I think I might try my hand and making some

If these are actual photos of SGF creations, she is Super. The pictures you post always appear to be the creations of an expert baker. Perfect in shape and coloring, it would seem they are machine made or airbrushed.
:D

Thank you - that's very nice of you to say and I will relay the compliment.

She (I have nothing to do with it) bakes at a professional level. Those are all her efforts and all are untouched by photoshop tricks.

Her skills are impressive. Had she wanted one, IMHO, she could have had one heck of a career as a pastry chef.

I actually had a snack today! Peanut Butter Candy Cake Tasty Cake

I had those recently as well. The actual cake inside is surprisingly light; although, I thought the peanut-butter flavor could have been amped up a bit. All in though - not bad. As a kid, I easily consumed my body weight in those, but hadn't had them in years 'till I spotted them in a small corner of the supermarket a week or so ago.
