The one on the left was my drawing for it, but they cant make/ didnt have toe last that low, so the result is bit more round, although it flatten a little after 1 year.

I ordered here
https://www.worklifeshoes.com

Not one of their model there, i just contacted them through whatsapp and they custom made for me based on that drawing more or less. The upper is suede, the trim around the top shaft and the harness are nubuck. Try to contact them maybe they remember and can replicate. It was very affordable.

I do like those lee jackets although I’d have to figure out how to wear them. There seem to be a lee 101 version of that jacket with a red quilted lining that is quite affordable on eBay. It’s located in Poland where I think lee Europe has a factory?

Check out the Key Imperial version! I like it even more. It's got action back, cool liner and all. And they're listed at 10% of the price.

But even on a skinny man(?)...it's a no:

Now on a woman, it looks perfectly fine:

Jeans this skinny create an hour glass shape...a man should not be shaped like a figure 8...

Both of those look equally ridiculous to me for the simple reason that they're both in waistband in the region of 6" below the wearer's actual waist.

I was thinking about patches but can't find / think of any good ones. Pins are sharp and frighten me.

"Pins" is American for "badges". ;)

Maybe later when the jacket is old, right now I dont feel to add anything yet, pin is helpful since it doesnt need much commitment unlike on leather that leaves permanent holes

Yes, I've never cared to put badges on my leathers. Oddly, even though I fancy putting together a 'Rocker' jacket at some point with patches, I still don't like the idea of putting pin-badges on it...

A denim kutte over aleather is a good wayof dong these things without such extreme commitment.

Thank you.

Interesting design; reminds me a little of the boots Steve Jones wore in his Sex Pistols days; Elvis wore a similar pair in white, I believe. I think Lemmy as well.

Yes, I'm intrigued by those myself....

Where might we find that?

Lemmy preferred these or others similar to them made by Pascal Davayet of Hollywood Riff Raff.

Aha! Yes, I remember the cowboy boots, but also something shorter and a bit plainer, closer to harness boots....

On eBay, of course. :)

Check it out, with the addition of a half belt, it's nicer than IH or Lee. And that heavy Talon..!

Thanks, lovely design. Looking to see if they are still in business....

I think they are but they're no longer doing any of these classical designs. Their Type-3's were the nicest ever, though!

Some digging found a website, but nothing especially classic, nothing as nice as these. Pity! I'm rather over Type IIIs, TBH... never liked the 'V' seams down the front, and I thought they'd have been better without the handwarmers. Too many of them look 'wrong' to me these days because they tend to be overlong for the design; I much prefer them just over waist-length, i.e. nearer 25" back than 29".

Thought this might a place I could ask for some help searching out a new denim jacket. Partial to Type II's, but could be swayed to a Type III. I just received a really well fitting Aero Cafe Racer and I'm trying to use the measurements from that to inform my purchase since I won't be able to try on before hand. In my mind, they should have very similar measurements, no?

I’ve found a nice fitting type III measures significantly smaller than my leather gear. My absolute fav is my Iron Heart 526PJ shown here: sz. XL

Here is my (former) Aero CR that measures about 2” larger in the chest sz. 42”

As Ton mentioned, I would NOT use similar measurements as they will fit very differently.

Iron Heart is a great brand to look at. They are in my top 3 favorite denim manufactures that I've owned, and I've tried many. Their 21oz flagship material is very, very nice. That said, I actually prefer 3sixteen's Type 3 over Iron Heart's Type 3... 3sixteen really nails the fit on that thing (though it's sized incredibly small and you have to order 1-2 sizes up). The extra touches like the 'crisscross' back and corduroy cuff & pocket lining are pretty awesome.

Iron Heart produces a Type II however, which will probably be up your alley. My other top 3 favorite denim manufacturer (3sixteen doesn't make this list), is Momotaro. They make a Type 2 as well, though I haven't owned it. I've had ~4 pairs of their denim jeans and they are nothing short of legendary.

The back yoke on the 3 sixteen is awesome! I just can’t figure out my size with them.
