That's a great versatile hat. Works equally well with a t-shirt and wind-breaker as it does with a jacket and tie. Nice find, Steinbock.

I like this hat very much. Great Style. I am unfamiliar with this hat. Who makes it? (Sorry, I don't speak German). What does the felt feel like?

Stetson Severn heather felt. Made under license in England. I'm a bit unsure about the ribbon to be honest. It may need to be changed at some point. Overwelt brim at 6cm and crown 11 cm at the center dent. The felt has the softness that's common with these heather felts.

Hi Stefan, I keep going back to this hat because of the heather felt. I understand your apprehension regarding the ribbon. It's unique. I have been thinking about it and if it were my hat...., I would choose one, or the other, of the colors of the original hat band. There are two primary colors. Both colors would work for me. Using both colors would become busy and distractive. A thinner ribbon is better than a thicker, bulky ribbon. It's my personal opinion that the felt should be the star of the show and not the ribbon. Simplicity is the ultimate in sophistication.

I got this Stephen L Stetson, I know some of the story:Stephen L. Stetson was a grandnephew of John B. Stetson, and an independent hatter in New York City, during the first half of the 20th century. The John B. Stetson company eventually sued in January of 1934 and made a case for copyright infringement, from which point you see the notice “In no way related to the Stetson Hat Company of Philadelphia" on the company’s label."

I can see " Never connected in any way wiz J.B Stetson" on liner,
but these words:"never connected in any way" are in a very dark color,
I think S.L.Stetson is tricky, hahah. Especially the logo pin on bow is totally same as J.B.stetson.
I'm interesting in this brand, If any story of this brand please add.

Anyway, hat is beautiful.

The felt is fairly stiff and thin, but with a smooth touch. Not sure who actually produced them, but according to @mayserwegener aka @habigman "Römer Hut is for the Römer City Hall, Frankurt am Main"

New to me. Raided my fathers attic . This hat belonged to my great grandfather Costanzo Procaccini. It is a Danbury Bentley Hat from Providence. They were located in La Salle Square in Providence, Rhode Island

Dug this Wormser out of the linen closet at my parents house. It belonged to my step-mothers father. He was a WWII veteran of the 86th Engineer Battalion, Heavy Pontoon,. We was wounded twice during the Battle of the Bulge. He was a great man and role model. I am proud to own it!

Just got my new Knox in the mail. I think it takes care of the "I need a blue hat" section of my hat collection quite nicely.

I have very little information on the hat though, and trying to Google info on it hasn't garnered me much.

And then from a land far away (Germany).......from our freind here on the lounge (Telemaster) there arrives a hat.....a Wormser. His bad luck (hat was too big) turns into my good luck (as Goldilocks said: "the hat was just right")!

VS in Limestone:

6” open crown. Approximately 2 3/4” brim. I asked for as wide a brim as possible while still using a dress weight 100% beaver body. The quality is what you’d expect from Art!
