With all my respect Sir - it's still much more informative that the way you've just suggested, 'cause it doesn't distort proportions (as most selfie photos via pointing camera at themselves) so it gives better the whole idea how the jacket fits. That's the point.
As for the jacket - you're absolutely right, I'd also suggest to keep this jacket, it fits John very nice.

So you are telling me than a bathroom mirror selfie is "more informative" than this:

I guess i am doing it wrong...

You're making your photos from tri-pod obviously, of course it's the best way, no doubts!
I meant selfies with selfie-stick which usually give much less info than even any mirror photos.
Cheers!)

Cinch that waist down a little and wear the jacket! Looks good.
Jackets that are perfect are few and far between. Especially the older ones.
I have myself just gotten a couple of vintage jackets and am finding it true that they are cut a little trimmer than some modern ones at the same size that I am familiar with.

Yeah if I could get that fit out of anything vintage...I’d have saved some cash over the years. Cinch the waist and ditch the flair’d Hem and that jacket is good to go. You can tailor that fit a bit. One thing you likely can’t do, is find another like it. Sleeves look good actually. Bit surprised given your height/ weight.

I agree! I think sleeve length is perfect. It is the cinching and flair at the waist that is the disconnect for me. If you can cinch the waist with the side laces for a tighter fit, I’d say it’s a keeper! I’m weighing in against my own interests here, because I would love to find a Taubers jacket like this. This one looks like a great match for you, though :)

This jacket is just a bomb. On the photo, everything looks perfect, but in reality I understand you. My Plainsman also looks like a photo in size, but in fact, I want the sleeve longer, my chest is tight too.

I really might keep this jacket, I should have put up a pic and got feedback before posting in the classifieds. So there is one gentleman I've been conversing with lucky 23. He text and said he wanted a pic of waist measurement and he was ready to pull the trigger. I'm going to give him the decision, if he says no I keep. I
