This is a gorgeous jacket, world class for sure.
Little worried it may be a touch too slim for me unfortunately.
Gonna give it one more look before trying to find it a proper home.
A work of art like this needs to be worn often.

I wanna post some pics, just want to keep it perfect if selling.Aren't we supposed to decide whether it is a proper fit or not and if you should keep it? The site rules clearly state this.
Kinda depressed about it...
I want to love leather every time I put it on and not sure I love this fit.

I am 6'1 195/200
Athletic build, in good shape
Wear a 41 or 42 slim US suit
Wear a 38 highwayman, 40 teamster for winter layering
Wear a 42 simmons bilt vanishing point from s&s. which is perfect fit and my current favorite
Wear a large in all slim fit schott and like those as well
My recent thedi large shawl collar in washed cuoio is very tight like this one, but am trying to work through it because it is so gorgeous and is the cossack fit
I like a slim fit in general, but the japanese slim can be very slim, even with the right numbers. I have found this with denim as well. American, and British slim is a different cut overall.
This jacket fits, and I can zip it, but is very tight, almost like a shirt jacket.
It may be case where I can wear it and it will loosen a bit and mold, but if not, would like to move it before it has any wear on it
I am in the middle of a 10 day work stretch, so will try and get pics as soon as I can, and see what people think

Not too surprising. Usually a Japanese 42 is a standard 40. The two 44's I have are each fitted more as a 42. You typically have to size up to fit in this kind of jacket comfortably.

It's so damn close, just has that japanese slim cut, when used to an American fit for sure.

Japanese are already slim by nature. Even at the same height and chest size, a Japanese build is usually trimmer on average.
I'm usually a 42 in most jackets but everything from Freewheelers and the Japanese brands, somewhere between a 44 and a 46. That's the hard part about buying Japanese brands; they were not originally designed with a western or larger body build in mind.
Even if you get the measurements right, the cut and fit can vary. The best thing you can do is try these on in person before you buy, if possible. Doing that saved me the headache of realizing RMC doesn't fit me at all and other places like Tenjin Works, while awesome AF, won't look flattering on my 6'3" 225 frame.

Absolutely, and I like a trim fit, but skin tight isn't quite my style. And never really know if it will form and expand enough to make me love it.

Losing money never fun, but what's worse is pulling the trigger and wanting something to be perfect, and it's not quite right. Disappointing.

I’m a 40L in US suiting, 186 cm and 82kg, and have tried this jacket in both 42 and 44 and I’m honestly not sure which I prefer. I am potentially interested.
