Colin, it would fit if you'd bought it, it seems to fit more between size 38 and 40 than 42 as tagged on it.
This pattern has quite wide shoulders independently of its size, but all the other measurements are close to size 38 or to slim fitted size 40.

I have a 39" chest so it probably would be good there. Believe me when I say I really thought about it and came back to the FS thread many times to have a look. The 19" shoulder width threw me off so I played it safe.

19" looks nice in this pattern, even for its snug size 40 it looks O'k in that style, but anyway now @dudewuttheheck is the happy owner of this beaut!)
@dudewuttheheck, congrats, you've bought a real gem!
P.S. Colin, don't be upset - for instance, me personally sometimes doubt about any purchase a bit too long too, that's just how our TFL hobby goes)

Thanks! I am so excited about this one. Wasn't sure if I'd ever have 3 Freewheelers jackets :)

That's a fortune, congrats!
P.S. I very like your Freewheelers Caboose, its gorgeous grainy leather, its incredibly deep rich color - it looks fantastic, I'm dreaming of the same jacket in size 44)
Well, fortunately I got fairly good deals on all of them. The Caboose and the Sunset were older models so they cost less than the new ones. The Sunset was an especially good deal. Buying this one used also really helps :)

Thanks! I think it's most peoples' favorite jacket of mine. I really hope they release it again so you can get yours in size 44. It's the coolest half belt ever made in my personal opinion. If I were you, I would contact a couple of the shops that stock Freewheelers and try to see if they will be getting that jacket this year or next and reserve one so you can make sure to get one. I can offer advice on this :)
