'Similar' relining costs here in Perth WA. I did have a real good job done by Sinnika leathers in Osborne park on my 30 year Old Eastman Luftwaffe.
However now I have so many jackets , and have bought a few for not a lot more than a relining job and some for less !
Sentimental attachments may still prevail , otherwise I would not do it again

Sentimental attachments are not all. Even if I have to pay $300 to fix up a $250 jacket, I'm left with a jacket much cooler looking than a similar new one that would cost me well over $1000. I would probably rather have the Brooks with a new liner than a stiff Buco J100 repro by whoever you wanna name.

I just sprayed my Vanson Gambler with a mist of water from my daughters hair care bottle. Wearing it until dry trying to get my crease and collar flip right. It’ll be cold enough to wear this weekend but I’ll look like a noob as it still reeks of “new leather jacket/grey beard crisis man”.
Which of course is all true but I’d rather not advertise it.

Are leather jackets not crisis-indicative if they look as if you bought them years and years ago? A man would be better off buying tumbled, battered or used if that were the case. I only noticed that I was the only 40 year old wearing a leather jacket when the few other 40 year olds stopped wearing them a few months before that particular birthday...

That’s more of a joke actually. Any aged person in a brand new leather jacket looks like a noob! Particularly the super shiny black type, which this Vanson is. But I’m working diligently...

Looks amazing! That is literally the exact Thedi that I am considering! What hide is it? How does it wear? Did Thedi customize it to your measurements? Did Thedi hit the measurements that you provided? Sorry about all the questions but, as I said, that is the one I am eyeing if the FCL James does not work and I decide to bypass another Imperial.
