New to me Brent Black Montecristi Monte Carlo. Got this at a really good price but was a bit apprehensive. I did not know if I would like this style. Received it, put it on, looked in the bathroom mirror, and could not stop smiling.
If I count correctly it's 441 WPI ( 21 x 21).

Where’s the head shot? We want to laugh with you. :)
It looks to have some reverse taper at the top of the crown. I really like the style.

Here's a pic somebody snapped during our local urban social bike tour last week. (We visited some nice gardens.) I've been hosting these rides for 10 yrs. The hat in the pic stays on well when we ride. And it stays cool. It's a custom ventilated cuenca from PHD. It was neat when I found out that I could make a special request for their budget grade of hat! Next hat will be a Montecristi...

Hello, I introduce myself, I'm Jorge Ceme, an Ecuadorian artisan. I wanted to show you my Fino Montrecristi Panama hat, it is a fedora has 25 wpi or 23x 25 wpi. I made the hat myself, I hope you like it. I see that there are people with a lot of knowledge here. I would like to contribute with information in case someone needs it.

Congratulations Jorge!

The prices vary according to the quality you are looking for,
If you want a Classic quality (14 to 19 wpi or grades), the prices are between $ 250 to $ 350 US dollars

If you want a Fino hat (20 to 29 wpi or grades), the prices are between $ 400 to $ 600 US dollars.

For hats from 30 to 60 wpi the prices are much higher

The prices include the shipping by DHL, documents necessary for the export. Due to the agreements that Ecuador has with the USA, the European Union and South America, my clients do not pay customs taxes, but the taxes on sales and nationalization are the responsibility of the client.

So I recently picked this up. It is originally from "Custom Hat Works" in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I think the weave work is pretty good and overall looks really nice. But why such mediocre work on the ribbon and sweatband? I think this is worthy of a better sweatband and ribbon treatment. Do you agree or should I just leave as is?

That blue just POPS. Love it.
Kind of you to say so, contrasting colours can enhance a straw, in a way that lifts the ensemble. Later today, (Sunday) we are having lunch out with my brother's daughter, my niece, and her new husband. I'm planning to wear my Henley blazer, I shall wait to see how the weather co-operates, but hopefully it will be straw hat sunshine again.
