Yeah, that one had the Fray imprint too...nice example save for the ribbon damage.
I hedged a bit on my bid because the pooch needs some vaccinations. Silly life expenses, always getting in the way of impractical hat splurges!

Just bought this Hufvud Indiana Jones look-alike for $140.
It looks a little reddish in the pics, but the bottom of the brim looks brown.
The seller says it's 30X beaver...
The sweatband reads beaver too.
I didn't want to buy a cheap rabbit Indy, so I waited for a beaver fur felt. At least, it's part beaver. [emoji2]
Ignacio should downsize it to my head nicely.

I’m really curious to hear what Ignacio thinks about this hat. The deer sweats are soft and comfortable, but I’m looking forward to hearing what an expert thinks of the build quality and the felt.

The other Hufvud I bought was pure rabbit felt, and he didn't like it. He also disliked that the "ballena" or reed was metallic.
This one is 30 percent beaver. Hope we like it.

I was talking to my brother in law's brother, making the claim that Western, or Cowboy, hats really saved the hat industry. He was astute enough to bring up his observations of conservative, perhaps Hasidic, Jews and their hats. I had to conceed his point. That community remained consumers of quality headwear over the decades as well.Another black (religious?) Borsalino destined for conversion.
