Bluetooth speaker for a beach vacation

Have a little speaker already, waterproof, a 67 rating on it, and it was not loud at all. In fact, propped it up against a beach shoe and you move more than 10 feet away and can barely hear it. It was a promo I got two years ago at Best Buy for $25 with a $25.00 gift certificate that they mailed me (I had like 10 days to use it).

Been reading up on a Ulitimate Ears Wonderboom or the UE Megaboom, a Sony Bass something or other, and then an Oonta Angle 3 (#1 rated at Amazon), AOMAIS Sport II or its GO (30 watt speaker).

Definitely want waterproof and then I need it loud enough for say one of those beach tents or a backyard BBQ,

Anyone with experience with having one?

Ive got an Ultimate Ears Roll2 for the shower. It’s compact, waterproof, loud and the sound quality is fine though not in the same category as my Bang and Olufsen Beoplay M5 - which is mains only and not water proof. My advice is to find a stockist and listen to the ones you’ve mentioned. If you find the one you want is cheaper on line then negotiate with the stockist - it usually works and you’ll save on the shipping cost so can give the stockist a bit of a margin? I’d recommend the M5 for your barbecue but they cost ‘lots and many’ - I only bought mine as I’d just sold a pair of high end refrigerator sized Tannoys I’d bought cheap for crazy money so I could afford it.

Yea, UE Megaboom, Wonderboom or the Flip 4 or maybe Charge 3 by JBL

Amazon had some bigger units and even at a cheaper price, but I am thinking these 4, especially the first 3, I can easily take on an airplane if we go out of town to a beach

I can go listen to them at Best Buy

The Wonderboom is about $61

Just happened to glance at the speakers at Costco and rep told me that they had a model from last year on clearance, $39, and it was the Boom Remix, which is a UE renamed model for Costco of the Boom 2. Great speaker and I grabbed it, as the UE WOnderboom would have been $61 or more and the sound not as good
