Guernsey jumper

Hello all,
Since the previous entry, my collection Guernsey, that enriched by two: dark green (V-neck, unfortunately, because I know that most of you do not value them) and traditional in navy blue. However, I have another question: is the Guernsey Woolens sleeveless jacket with full zipper designed for men, women or is unisex? I can not find any information anywhere. Maybe there are not many such sleeveless jackets, and maybe they are not practical enough. I do not have a photo, but it is identical to the Navy Zip Jacket on the LeTricoteur website. It's not just sleeves.
Does anyone have such a thing? Does he use it? If so, when and what does he wear?
Greetings from today's sunny Warsaw. Sweater can not be worn today. Even in the basement.

The dark green is a great colour and I have this in the traditional style. I have worn the traditional Navy and the traditional Olive Green many times in the past 6 months: I look forward to wearing them again in the autumn. It's not that I don't 'value' the v-neck, but I am a traditionalist as far as Guernseys are concerned. The traditional style is - in my view - the manliest, probably because it is associated with fishermen. The other styles look a bit more 'unisex'. All of them are marketed as 'unisex's course, but I stand by the view that the traditional version is best for a man and best suits the male body.

We might have touched on this in passing before, but a question for fans of this sweater: when did you get your first Guernsey? I have been wearing them since the age of nine. My first was the standard Navy, of course. I was thrilled with it because of the military associations and because it was so warm and rugged. My love affair with the Guernsey has persisted since then!

I Bought my Navy Blue Guernsey back in 1991 and I still have it, it is a very hard wearing garment.

I saw a chap in my local High Street a couple of times this morning on his bicycle wearing a fine looking Sand Coloured Guernsey. The weather is cooler here now, hence the Sweaters/Pullovers/Guernseys are coming out again.

I also wore my sand coloured (or to use the official term 'New Natural') Guernsey a couple of weeks ago.

I wore my oatmeal Guernsey during the day (aka ‘New Natural’) and am now in my Army olive Guernsey, which I have been wearing a lot over the past few days!

For some reason I am wearing my olive Army Guernsey far more often than the Navy blue version these days: the opposite of my Woolly Pully (commando sweater) wearing (see thread on this subject) where I now favour the Navy over the Army version of the WP.

I spotted a chap yesterday wearing a very nice looking Guernsey in what I would say was a bottle green colour. Not seen one quite like that before. Looked very smart indeed and no doubt just the right garment to wear in this stormy weather.

It is a wonderful colour. I actually haven't worn this sweater for a while and must get it out (the sweater, that is) before this season ends. ... I have worn my olive (Army) Guernsey quite a few times this year however.

Yes, it is a good shade of colour. Stands out somewhat. I noticed from the Guernsey Woollens website that they make/sell Guernseys in that colour and their prices seem quite good too.

Mine either came from Guernsey Woollens or Guernsey Knitwear. I’ve had it so long that I can’t remember!
