I've wanted to add a watch or 2 to my attire for some time now. I'm a bit skittish about it though. I tend to be rough on watches, magically knocking into things I wouldn't have come close to if were I to not be wearing a watch.

For the last two or three years I've been wearing an Invicta brand watch. Made in the USA, it's a very obvious 'tribute' to the Rolex Submariner. Automatic movement. Keeps pretty good time (it maybe loses a minute or two every ten days or so.... I can easily live with that). I had the bracelet that came with it remived, and I have six or eight nylon straps I switch out eveyr two weeks or so as they need a clean / I fancy a change. I have a few other wristwatches I've picked up here and there over the years, though I'll likely pass on a lot of them as I feel I'm more now about a couple of decent watches rather than 'one for every outfit'. My Invicta I think I paid about seventy quid for on Amazon (supposedly in a 66% off sale, though how much of that was sales pitch I don't know). I enjoy that it has the Submariner style I like, but it's not pretending to be a Rolex - it wears its own branding unashamedly. I'd still like a nice, square-faced 40s-style watch and maybe a trench-watch style, but otherwise my Invicta doesn't make me feel I *need* another wrist-watch.

In different colors. Personally I prefer power reserve indicator over date/moth option unless it is something unique.

Yes, they are beautiful and they were the tool watch for the ultimate job. That to me is far more elegant than a Rolex Daytona, say, with all the hideous sub dials and unnecessary, pretentious complications.
