1940’s Black Knox “Super Fine” Quality Homburg Hat w/Box and history 7 1/4

Up for sale is a 1940’s era Black Knox Homburg “Super Fine” quality hat in 7 1/4. I could only find that it has some obvious staining to the liner and some of the stitching has come off on the leather. It could use a light cleaning on the felt. Other then those imperfections it is in excellent condition. The felt is extremely soft and the leather feels new. The lady I acquired this hat from had a note to add. This was her husband’s hat he was awarded over 60 years ago in high school. Comes with the hat box the hat came in.

OMG......I REALLY wish this was my size!!! THAT NOTE is sooooooooo COOL!! While I DO have more than a few black hommies, that note alone would force me to buy this one!! Really FUN history there!

Darn thing had a lot of wear! Once a month for 60 years? That's 720 days out in the elements!
Or did he go bald?
