Well, you live and learn. I've been doing well lately out of Facebook Market Place until this one, which arrived today.
The seller said it was a 58. He was looking at the small label with 58 on it. Not being a hat guy, he didn't know what the 4 1/2 meant on the proper label.
Note to self - ask for a photo next time.
It's still an okay Hückel. The "flexible" on the liner refers to it not being as stiff as a normal Bowler. This one wouldn't protect any land workers on an estate [emoji4].
Maybe I can tempt one of my daughters to wear it.

Thanks, Steve. It is a nice hat. I think it's Hückel's attempt at reviving the Bowler back in the 50s. A softer, lighter, more malleable weight for the post WWII era.

Steve, Your hat is probably from the 1930s. It's definitely pre 1940. Please post it in the German Austria thread when you have a chance.
That is interesting Steve, thanks. I didn't think it was that old. I thought when I saw the liner it could be 30s. When it came, I believed otherwise. It's very lightweight and not of the same quality as the two 1920s/1930s bowlers I have.
I'll definitely post it on the German/Austrian Hats thread. I was going to yesterday, but got sidetracked.
