Potatoes and cabbage with any kind of sausage....kielbasa, bratwurst, Italian, even breakfast links....is always a winner.

Our fig tree is producing fruit in abundance right now. So, tonight it's fresh picked figs; halved & stuffed with bleu cheese & topped with a small slice of prosciutto, broiled till the prosciutto is crisp, and then topped with a couple of drops of chipoltle honey.
Served with poppyseed chicken salad sandwiches on toasted ciabatta.

A friend was reading poems she wrote at a local art house / Mexican restaurant last night, so I went out for an evening of spoken word, Latin jazz, and house made chorizo tacos. There were also black beans and rice and a few palomas involved. And fresh figs. I forgot about those.
