He worked in farming or the new Swedish settlement in Texas and the name was placed in the hat for identification in case of injury or death. He was the sole owner of the hat."

It's pretty fascinating to think of the history of things like this that have found their way to rest in our possession. I hope that this hat will stay with me for a long time to come.

As I understand from reading some of the older posts that "The Fray" had to do with a process used when making the sweat band and named after the Stetson officer who came up with the idea?
