What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

It's WAY too hot for felt right now, but I just received a new Granite beaver from Rick at Phoenix, and so of course I had to wear it to church.

The color of the felt is pure gray, no brown at all as I have seen in some Winchester granite felts. I would describe it as a medium charcoal in most light, although it can also look very light gray in certain light. The ribbon shows more purple in the photos than it appears in most light; it is a faded "rose wine" color most of the time.

Looks great, Doug. I like the color of the milan and the new pug compliments it well. I also really liked that Paribuntal you were wearing a couple of days ago. It has a strong look with its prominent crown and proportionate ribbon and brim.
And I’m getting ready to order my straw Cordova cap as well its just too cool to pass up. You and Eric have me sold!

Thanks, Reggie! I think the brim up on this Milan has a Homburg look to it, most especially because the crown just has a simple center dent without side pinches.

I felt the same about the Cordova straw. It was too cool to pass us up, and I'm not sure how much of that Abaca straw fabric Jonathan can source...

That's the way to wear a homburg, Brent! Fantastic hat. The reddish tones in the brim binding and ribbon stand out and bring out the rich brown color of the felt. Nice suit too.
