What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

RUSHing out the door this morning, I missed Milan Monday.

So I'll suffer in silence wearing my first Panama, a birthday gift to me to welcome my mid-life crisis back when. This is the hat that re-ignited my long simmering hatness. I found you folks (or the Lounge participants at that time) and now here we are.

Panama Hats Direct Fino Fino, vintage puggery from another specimen.

Too sweet. The Bantam will keep her comfy and cozy. Really nice hat, and that color is amazing.

Great Panama and memory, but that pug is really one to envy. Super colour, shape, design, and overall look. Most eye catching indeed.

Thanks!! :)
I was waiting for someone to notice! Doesn't everyone have a cannon on their front lawn??!! LOL
This is the home of Revolutionary War hero Maj. Gen. Nathanael Greene.
It is a National Historic Landmark.
I am the President of the Board of Trustees, which means I cut the grass, clean the toilets and pay the bills.
Errr....takin down the pink flamingos and shiny lawn globes now!!!

My Dad would love to display cannons on his front lawn, but I'm also sure he'd like to fire them as well. :D

I like the additional photos you tacked on. I can almost see the General walking up the stairs into his house. :)

Great hat Charlie. I hesitate to call mine a mid-life crisis. I guess it would be if I live to be 120. :)

The Missouri County I used to call home (still have a house there) was named after him! Now I live in what's called "Booger County" (Douglas Co. MO). I plan to mow six acres this afternoon. No cannon in the yard though, but we do have a mill stone. Swords, plowshares ... there is some meaning to it I'm sure.

This 1920s Stetson Bowler is beginning to be my go to Bowler.

I can't thank Garrett enough for being willing to send it outside of the US.

It's light stiffness and vents suggest to me that it was a workers hat. The Masonic markings suggest the original owner was probably a "boss" of some kind.

Whatever, it's a great hat that sits so easily, comfortably, and oh so nicely on my head.

Those pleated liners are the classiest ever made IMO.
