Dating Vintage Stetsons by Liner: A Field Guide

I know I saw it on here somewhere but I can’t find it. Trying to date this OR I recently acquired and can’t find information on the ‘beaver with sign’ logo.

The last drop liner is embroidered and has the onion skin protector long oval keyhole tag has the integer.

When did they start using the beaver plaque?...

The 3X mark goes back a long ways though like other trademarks with a long history (No.1 Quality, for instance) it has changed some over the years. The era of your hat is described above. This hat was owned by Justin Seagraves. It dates from the 1930s or earlier.

Wasn't sure where to drop this. Just more evidence linking the square tag with the embroidered Last Drop liner to show it went into the 1960s.

That is provided someone did not "upgrade" the liner. I have seen some on the bay that were obviously later hats with an earlier liner put in "aftermarket".....(they had tags from the later 80's, those with inch and metric sizing and the sellers were saying the hats were from the 50's!!!!!!!). So buyer beware......

I found this hat at a thrift store. I'm thinking it might be from the 1970s, but I'm not sure. Does anyone have an idea?

What about this one? I’m guessing very late 1950s or very early 1960s. I’m not sure if this does play a factor in determining age but it does have a wind chord

This is a new one to me. The black rectangular size tag puts it mid 1960s to roughly 1980 I’m thinking. The Golden Ivy League by Stetson:

^^^^^ I think that's "Ivy League" Brent / @deadlyhandsome . I wouldn't recommend Googling "Golden Joy League" though.

Thanks, Bob. You always give the best advice.

I need glasses, but my vanity keeps me from getting them. I use reading glasses as I couldn’t do my job otherwise, but I’ve put off getting regular eyeglasses. The day is coming as these kinds of mistakes are becoming frequent. I find myself recognizing the shape of a word rather than seeing the letters.

Hold out for about 20 more years and go for the Deluxe Super Combo...glasses, couple hearing aids and a fine set of dentures.
No hurry!
