The thinnest, (think dime) most finely pounced felt I have. The 7X CB's and 100's of Stetson may equal the hand, the felt of this hat is finished to a standard I don't see executed in any of my other hats of the same era. (60's) ?. Nothing fancy about this one, simple in execution and design but executed to a high level. Probably put out there to capture a bit of the Stetson 100 and high end OR market. No bound brim or Cavanagh edge, this hat reminds me of the finish I've seen on hats produced much earlier.

HJ mentioned this style ribbon in a thread a bit ago and I responded that the only hat I had with such a ribbon was my Portis western. Not so. Realized today when this one came out of the box.

Thanks Steve. Been awhile since it was cool enough to put on some clothes. This is the first time out for this Brooks Brothers suit that I thrifted a couple of weeks ago.

Since she's from OR, you've picked the perfect hat.
Thanks Doug. I saw she is from Portland. Have you heard/seen her? I'm looking forward to the show.

Very sweet, Micheal.
Head to toe.

I've only heard her on the radio locally, and on youtube:

Thomas Lauderdale and Pink Martini, however, I've heard live... and Thomas (the leader and piano player) used to come into a shop where I worked in downtown Portland and buy cigarettes from us.

That was a great song you linked. I would like to see Pink Martini. She had a story or two about playing with them in France. This was a different band tonight, but a great show.

And there was even a hat onstage

And I did manage to get there with my OR intact. it was only about a 6 minute bike ride from my house.

A great show, and a river runs through it.

I'd never heard of Storm Large nor Pink Martini before. Thanks for the heads up Michael. It's my kind of music.
