Then this is a case of the camera improving the situation, because I can read that sign quite clearly in your photo. Not the best representation of an elk that I've ever seen, but...

Anyone here seen an LED “neon” sign — a large commercial one in an outdoor setting?
Much as I love neon signage, it’s no great wonder that its heyday lasted only three or four decades, for reasons we have enumerated earlier in this thread. It’s just too finicky, and fragile, which renders it too costly and troublesome in comparison to other options.
LEDs can mimic neon, though. I don’t know what challenges it presents, though. Does it hold up to the elements any better than neon? Is it cost prohibitive?
