This is one of my recent acquisitions that will be shipping out this week. The size is unknown but just judging from the scale of the photos I think it will fit me. If not I will post it up on the classifieds. If anyone has some info on it that would be appreciated. Looks like a pretty interesting dress western.

just received fed1v and found the brim to be wider than my other two feds!
here's spec from the hattery
Brim: 70mm x 63mm (Side), Cut edge- (my other 2 feds are this size. )
the hat i received is 78mm x 70mm.
I await a reply from the hattery, but it's too expensive to exchange, as i got stung by import duties,
i'll end up trimming it down to spec.

Ugh, I wish the Hattery would have made that mistake with my black Fed IV. After wearing Camp Drafts and Bushmen the Fed IV's brim seems rather bashful to me - especially from a head-on view where the minimum of the dimensional brim really shows.

I would wear it a while as is.....you MAY regret trimming it down the road. For my camp...I would say you won the brim width lottery! There are times when the wider brim would be nice.....

i'm going to trim it down, I bought it BECAUSE of its brim width, as my other two fed's look fine on me,and a wider (side) brim doesn't.

Most of the time I think my Fed IVs are just about perfect as they are, but sometimes I wish the brims had an extra 1/4" in width (specifically on the sides). If I received a hat from Hats Direct/The Hattery like the one you received I'd probably count my blessings and keep my mouth shut.

A Moonstone Akubra Stylemaster from hats direct. They've gone through the inventory and found an oversized size 58 for me.
