Finally a little rain, no so much

Tirard, one of the ancient hats producers of France, founded in 1878 and closed in 1956

The hat came from the A. Meer - Strasbourg (closed hats shop) big deal of some years ago. It had different form, but the crown was open so I can shape it as I wish

The felt, medium weight, has an undefine color between brown and purple, called on the paper label "Tweed"
Proportions are as follows: brim at 5,5 cm with over welted seam, crown bashed at 11,5 cm. ribbon, matching the felt color, is 3,5 cm

The Tirard are rare on the EU vintage market and this is one of the last made because the shape and the "style".

I'm still in the process of repurposing my spaces (have I been watching too much DIY channel?).
Anyway, a cold, wet front blew in. I opted for the 50s Stratoliner, but Michael raised me a 10X beaver. I may have to post again in this thread.
