I believe you wear small hats. I do have a few around. I don't recall if there was any earlier discussion about styles though.

Waiting on my new Fasionable Hats "Capitol" in grey with black band. Been wanting a grey, seems that this color goes with more outfits. 2 3/4" brim and 4 5/8" crown

Thanks, Panos. Had to dig a little in my pockets for this one, but I figured I should stop swooning over the ones posted here and put my money where my mouth is.The price wasn't all that bad, but the import taxes added a chunk.

In another thread I expressed my frustration in finding hats of the right color, given that model photos rarely show a hat's true shade. Well, I found the last remaining Pantropic Skylar in Burnt Orange today and ordered it. The price was reduced, and I figure that if it isn't what I want when it arrives, I'll deal with it then. The shipping label has been printed, so it should be here in 3-7 days.

I finally ordered a Cedar Brown CD from the Hattery last week, and received a notice that it had landed at JFK over the weekend. Now I wait for the hat gods to clear it in customs and send it on south. The weather's finally starting to cool off a bit, so soon I can wear it with a nice brown Harris Tweed I picked up or my brown horsehide long halfbelt. Really looking forward to it.

Thanks. Ever since I ordered it I've been doing the requisite, idiotic re-viewing of the few paltry images on the web (most of them from here) and wondering how it looks on the head of the baggage-handler's brother in Bensonhurst. I always do this.

And guess what I found still attached but folded behind the sweat? A black & gold keyhole size tag for 58 cm. Sellers measurements were way off. Looks like it is a 7-1/4, maybe a 7-1/8 now.

Great hat, just a bit dusty. I'm disappointed! I'm anxious to iron the brim & do some documentation but need to contact seller on Monday first. 3-1/2" RE brim X 5-3/4" or 6" OC.

I'll get better pics & measurements tomorrow. If anyone is interested let's talk before Monday - Tuesday.

Hi, Crabman here, I noticed that a few months ago you bought and then returned this BOTP hat, because it was too
small of a size for you. My hat size is about a 57, so I was thinking about buying the hat, still available on e-bay.
My question is, did you notice if there were any strong odors, like mildew or tobacco odors? I know there is some
minor moth damage, which doesn't bother me, but the seller is kind of vague about odors. Any info. related to this
would be greatly appreciated. ( Thanks, Crabman )

Hi Crabman, just saw your question. Sorry for the slow reply. The hat did not have any musty or tobacco odors. In fact I recall no odors at all. The Seller is a Russian woman living in FL so maybe she doesn't fully understand your question.

The hat has been stored & was shipped in a box too small for the brim, so it will need to be ironed or pressed into shape. Unless you want the Stetson box it is in I would probably tell her to keep that box & ship the hat in a larger box.

Other than ironing the brim & the few moth nips the hat has no problems.
