Thurlow is/was in San Diego, California. I just can't find my original source regarding Thurlow. I went through my Tanaka books, but got lost! I know there is a reference in one of the books. I have not done much research on the company. Like to hear about them.

This is another stunner in Deer skin. It feels like silk, my girlfriend said buttey. Truely does fit like a glove! That is the expression I was searching for. the Finish is amazing.

The interior and label look very much like a local Deerskin maker. I have seen later more modern collar label. This label has the hand made shop look. The use of Velcro, which looks like original work, dates it. Maybe 70s?

I first meet Dolores around 1993 via a phone conversation on a matter she was helping me out with. Dolores had incredible insight on Deer Skin garments and the history of Deer Skin and its durability for motorcycle garments. I believe her son Gary took over the shop at some point in time.
This was there old address 4807 Mercury Street, Suite E,, San Diego, California, United States, 92111. Sadly they are no longer in business. I have been told a few different reasons why they are gone but it is all here say. I come across there garments from time to time as customers bring them into my shop for repairs. I can tell you that Thurlow deer skin garments stand the test of time they hold up. I do have a complete catalog from 1993 that has pricing, sizing, photos and some reviews of there garments. Yes, they did know how to sew Deerskin. The finish too, it feels like satin. Someone on my youtube channel said it looked a like a wet suit! Truley fits like a glove. I notice in the 52 catalog they emphasis the glove making.

I saw this one sorta by accident. I look forward to seeing more of their jackets. They are special in the world of Deerskin.
