30’s to very early 40’s.....they may have an exact retail date stamped on the back side of the sweat

Just received this stetson standard quality. I yet to see a standard quality with a bound type brim. It snaps to well to be a homburg but curls like one. Any info from the pros of the lounge would be aweome. This one really perplexe's me haha.

i have a similar standard quality with a bound brim edge. i believe it's just a deep flange

That brim is meant to be worn curled up... the binding enforces it.

I'm not sure that definition is helpful to understanding the hat and how it was worn. The "homburgs" of the 1940s and 1950s were curled to present high sides and a narrow brim profile in the front:
This Stetson Select is closer to the era of your Standard Quality - it shows a flatter brim and a more even curl from the front and on the sides.
The Stetson Standard Quality hats posted in this thread (1930s) had a flat brim flange. Yours is different (and very cool), calling back to earlier styles of soft hats. Here are a couple of pages from a Stetson style catalog from fall/winter 1914-15 showing various models sold that season.

Mid 1930’s 7 5/8 Standard Quality block #730. I might have went a little overboard on the case... my first sub 50’s hat and it’s almost worthy of the housing. Incredibly nice felt that takes any bash but likes the traditional center crease. Not sure If this is a similar style to Roans above (or a homburg), but it is an incredibly nice lid for 80+ years old.
No LOT # that I could find but a partial sales/price tag still attached, which appears to read $7.50 in pen or pencil.

Before I knew that Standard qualities typically date to the 1930's I passed one up for a pretty good price. It had OR dimensions. I am still kicking myself for not grabbing it.
