Wait... what?? Pattern... fill me in on this jacket making you speak of...

Don’t hold your breath if your waiting on JC to cut the pattern and make you a jacket.

4 1/2 years here after paying a deposit and waiting with no communication in just under 2 years....and there are others here in front of me...

Jump on board if that sounds like fun [emoji2957]

That's what I have thought about, make a pattern, who knows how long. Then get one made for you custom. YEARS

Jeez - that does not sound like a sustainable business model. Sounds like it could go under.

I have to think the opposite.....he has so many waiting customers he doesn't have time to keep them updated and if a few drop off he has over 4 1/2 years worth of customers that have already paid a deposit and waiting.....the only danger is he starts getting a bad reputation and a lot of people ask for deposits back, that could turn bad very quickly ... I do wonder how far away the tipping point is...

for me, after this, I'm not even sure I want a GW jacket anymore but I'll probably wait till I get the email and make a decision, if it came today, I'd probably ask for my money back...who knows how I will feel in another few years lol

I wish Schott would spend a bit more time explaining their history. Perhaps most folks don’t care but many of us know that Schott made these jackets for a parts dealer (Beck, later Beck Arnley which became purely automotive). It chafes me in a way. Although I suppose an argument could be made that it isn’t worth the time. But it should be for an $800 piece of cow skin. Bring some actual substance and understanding to the product. Man I must be getting old if stuff like this irks me.

Not at all. I totally agree. They could capture a bigger and more discerning market with a few tweeks to their marketing and product.

Any update OP?

I ordered on and returned it. Curious more than anything as I loved the pics and wanted one years ago. RE: sizing, I'm a 46 in the ELMC Californian, 44 Aero CR (sold) and recently bought a 46 RMC BucoJ100. I went with an XL in the CAF1 and it was HUGE. Big everywhere, chest, shoulders, sleeves hit at my knuckles. Also much heavier than I anticipated but the hide was gorgeous I liked the washed characteristics and obvious grain. Felt as just heavy as my former Aero CR in CXL, which I found a bit too heavy for my needs. I think a size Large would work well for me but I found it heavier than I want and I have the black CR slot filled with the RMC/Buco.

I think Schott hit a home run w/the design, materials (if you like heavy jackets) and construction.
