Making gills is easy. Keeping them aligned, straight, and tight while sewing them on is a whole 'nother ball of wax. I suggest not drinking before attempting it.

This is my first set of gills.

I got better.

But I still have a ways to go.

Right now it needs a new sweat sewn in and hat band. A smoke grey ribbon will look good on the 2 1/2 inch brimmed Cav.
