So, I know there are a few other Chester Cordite threads, but these deal with his suits. I now have a couple of the shirts and honestly, they are the best repro spearpoint shirts I've had. There is quite a range of cloths, although these seem to only be produced in limited runs. Only issue is the sleeve length, meaning that I have to either use sleeve bands or shorten them- but since shrinkage is minimal, thats not really a problem to me? They are also a nice, full cut, but not as big as say the Darcy ones which are maybe too much if worn without a waistcoat.

Also in answer to some of the earlier questions about fabrics and quality, I think nearly everything is now in natural fabrics (Cotton for the shirts, wool for the suits, sports jackets and trousers) now, except for a few earlier shirts that are left overs? Which obvious lends a more period correct feel overall.

I've found Stuart (the owner to be a real pleasure to deal with), I get the impression like many of us the clothes are his passion. He also has a studio or a space which you can visit to try (and I assume buy) in person, which I intend to do that at some stage!

I’m concerned with torso length. It seems I need XXXL, my neck is 17.5, sleeves 25.5”, but prefer long body to stay tucked

Hmm, just measured mine. Mine are both 16" Collars, I sometimes go up to a 16.5, but these are fine in the collar... anyways the new one is 33" in length, the other, which is nearly a year old is 32.5". So guessing a 17.5 would be nearer a 34" length in the body? But yeah they should be a little longer, that said I've never had one come untucked, but I wear a 13" to 14" rise and often braces too?

Worth emailing Stuart and discussing it, really they should be a little longer, but I'm yet to have one come untucked?

The alphabetical sizing is surely vintage, neck of 17.5 is considered XXXL...

I just received the spearpoint collar shirt by Aero (The Chester one is on the way), it''s really good, you know it's an Aero product when it's so substantial, the photo on their website does not do the justice. Anyhow, question about the fit. I had to choose the correct collar size (17.5), but I suppose (back in the day), people who has 17.5 neck also weight 300 pounds? the body and arms of this shirt is just massive. I know it probably requires a waistcoat to restrain it but man, it's like a hospital gown...

I've heard similar views about Darcy shirts, but then Chester Cordite shirts are by no means fitted, just not quite so blousy. If you have any concerns, email Stuart.
