This, exactly. There is usually a reason a company institutes a new policy like a non-refundable deposit. Ken is also correct about time: even when all goes right on the money end I’m sure there are orders that take up so much time with back and forth communication that it bleeds away profit. Time is indeed money.

If the car is not totaled It seems insurance with cover repairs less deductible. Considering the way the story was presented here, omitting material background information I would not be surprised the alleged car accident has nothing do due with the OP wanting to cancel yet another order with Aero
