How do folks react to your hat wearing?

I walked into a boutique with my wife and the young, and very stylish, saleswoman told me she loved my hat. She went on to tell me that the high crown fedoras are very “hot” right now. She asked if I knew who made my hat and I told her: Rick Walker. She looked confused and smiled.

First time in my life I’ve been on-trend wearing the “hot” item. Thanks, Rick.

As I have commented to my wife, these days I'm getting more attention from women than I have during my entire life. The fact that they are all widowed old ladies does not make it any less flattering.

And my eyesight is so poor I have to be careful of what prescription bottle I pick up, too! (Laxative in the morning, Viagra at night....or is it Viagra in the morning and...)

I'm getting more attention from younger women these days but only because I'm no longer a threat!!! Damn! Getting old is for the birds!

This just happened ten minutes ago. I got a telephone call from a woman who works in the same big organization that I do. I hardly know her, although I have been in a few meetings with her. Says she: "This morning in the parking garage I found a very nice hat on the ground. Because I recall that you wear some very nice hats, I thought I'd call you to see if you lost a hat before I take it to Lost and Found." I took it very positively. Nice to know that my hats make an impression... or that I do when wearing one!
