All you need is an inside button for those roll up cuffs. Period correct too!

Yep the new BK Surrogate has it.

Impressive, I had no idea any maker was doing the inside button. I also have a suede jackets that has the roll up cuffs. It doesn't show up that often to my knowledge. I wonder if the original surrogate jacket worn my Willis has the roll up cuffs.

Yes it does. BK borrowed an identical Californian from Happy Hooligan and copied all the elements.

Here's the original - BK put a new tartan lining in it. The original lining was a creamy gold, shiny lining (rayon?).

Roughly a month and a half has passed... and I can't take this jacket off. I love it. The lightweight horse, the lightweight cotton lining...it's just such an easy jacket to wear.

On some of the Liberty Horse jackets I've looked at it appears the finish rubs off and shows a lighter shade of brown. Mine hasn't done that. The finish definitely scratches off, though, and after lying on the ground doing oil changes and falling off my daughters' mini dirt bikes while racing around with them, the jacket definitely shows some wear. I'm liking it though. I went with the Liberty for it's accelerated wear properties and it hasn't let me down. I haven't done any water treatment, but I was caught in the rain once, and spent another long day in drizzly conditions.

Very, very impressive! It does look more 'lived in' than just 6 weeks or so of wear, and yet because it simply shows the effects more rapidly, the result is real and not artificial-looking like a pre-distressed leather. Looks aces!

Looks very sharp there! Definetly "earning" it's keep as my father would say. I was thinking a bit about "caring" for my Bootlegger in FQHH that I found myself shoveling snow and applying sand on the driveway with this morning. I did wipe off the sand with a damp rag once it dried. However I can see you are not worrying about that.

Nah on the contrary while I don't baby it, I do wipe it down with a damp cloth and have even applied some Smith's Leather Balm to the areas where the finish has scratched off. I even put a mat down on the garage floor when I had to lay on it. I'll never purposely beat on the jacket (that sort of patina feels kinda too much like 'stolen valor') but I also won't baby the thing.

Is @Tommer45 still around? Can we get an update on how the jacket is going? I'm considering one but it seems to be aging pretty quickly, maybe a bit too quickly?
Alive and kicking! Lemme pull the ol' jacket out and snap some pics. Haven't worn leather once this year to be honest. Been wearing waxed cotton. I'll try to post some updates photos when I get a chance.

Thanks for the updated pics.

I'm considering getting one but damn, that Liberty HH shows a lot of wear quickly! All that from 1 year of regular use?!

What is it going to look like after 10 years!?
