I acquired this J-100 in a very little worn condition more than 15 years ago. Most of the wear I put on my self. I have worn this jacket more the any other jacket I have ever owned. The hide is a medium weight unlike most the heavier weight jackets I have owned and drapes exceptionally. The lighter weight makes it my go-to jacket with the mild spring and fall weather on the San Francisco Bay area, and it is comfortable enough to wear indoors like a sport jacket. I have received numerous compliments while wearing this jacket mostly from younger ladies and girlfriends of my daughter, people who never hear the word Buco. At one time there was a clear 46 size tag attached to the label. The lining was replaced by Johnston Leathers 10 years ago. Sleeve lining is original as is the rest of the jacket. I took the jacket to Alan to patch a wear sport in the jacket lining at the collar but his talor replaced the lining. Maybe this is when the size tag was lost.
I cleaned and hydrated the hide every season and would wipe the jacket down with a damp rag as need. The jacket is large on my frame but works anyway. The reason I selling is a purchased 5 or 6 keeper jackets this year some need to go. I will be listing more jackets after Thanksgiving. I will be keeping three other Bucos

It's in pretty good condition. Because of the original cotton thread, some of that should be replaced in a few spots. But the leather is still holding strong. I actually don't know if it's horsehide or steerhide. The tag was missing when I got it. I've owned several horsehide pieces but this one looks and feels a little different. I haven't handled very many steerhide pieces, but my best guess is this is a steerhide jacket.

If you still interested in a trade I suggest we meet and compare and try on each other jackets. I had a few seams restitched on my jacket at Johnson Leathers. I could meet you in Brisbane about halfway between San Francisco and Redwood City.
I have trim down lately and plan to maintain my weight as is.

No longer available for sale or trade. After wearing this jacket for 17 years, it has molded to my body feels like an old friend. I went to meet a fellow lounger today for a possible trade. Decide I can bear to part with this J-100. I would like to edit the 1st post?

You don’t have this size 46 still available do you? I had a 44 that I just sold that was too tight but would love to find a 46. I know this post is years old...
