Feedback Request: Chain Wallets

I used to wear chain wallets twenty years ago - one for cash, one for cards. (Theory was that if ever one was lost or stolen, I still had the other...). Eventually had to give them up because they got to be too much hassle with a suit. In any case, I think it's a great idea to have a d-ring on the wallet itself, as it allows it to be much more flexible - much easier to clip the chain off it completely when you need to slip it into a suit jacket pocket, then slip it on and go again when you're back in denim.

I dress up for work at times and was wondering if I could find materials to make a chain wallet look good with dress clothes. I always loved the look of a chain on a pocket watch being clipped into a vest and was wondering if I could recreate that for a wallet. I have tracked down some stuff that might work, but it seems like it would be a hard one to pull off with the rest of dress attire without being too out of place. Alas, I think unclipping it from the chain and it just living in my pocket would be the best bet...just need to make sure i don't leave it somewhere when I take it out of my pocket to sit down :)

Such beautiful work!!! I certainly need one of these at some point. I never thought that I'd think of a wallet as aesthetic but those are just beautiful!!!

The trick would be a smaller wallet (like a credit-card sized one) with a ring on it, and attach it to a watch chain. I think that could work very nicely - I'm almost surprised nobody's selling something like this already.

The small wallet is also the answer to having to remove it when you sit down - smaller wallet in the front pocket. I went over to using a smaller wallet about five or six years ago ,and it revolutionised my life.

Yes!!! I used a generic biker style chain wallet for years. During my divorce I was so scatterbrained I put my wallet down a few times and walked away from it. LOL
I'm a fan of smaller wallets in the front pocket these days. If we could get something a little larger than credit card sized with a chain that would be epic!!

I have a front pocket i swap in and out as well. I have a smaller chain connection on it and I have to place an order for some material today and i may try to find a smaller chain to see if I can pull off the dress chain wallet. The front pocket ones I make work well for low profile, I will put together a less rugged chain that will hopefully go with it and post my results

Do you mean something more like a card holder instead of a full wallet? This could slide easily into any pants pocket or even a coat pocket...or if you have a vest with a functional pocket, you may be able to fit a 2 tier in there with a watch chain on it :)

I think so. Maybe just a billfold style wallet, maybe even with a snap, to keep it closed. Then a chain perhaps.
