Cheers @dudewuttheheck ! I popped in to Desolation Row, fantastic place, most leather jackets out of my size (44), very sad, though they did have a black mulholland. Very cool but I *really* wanted a La Brea.
If you check BRYWB online shop, you will see that they do not have any leather jacket in size 44. Americaya 610 has limited stock but Ueno is a great place to go anyway. Not sure if the Bankara place actually sells clothing.

In the midst of all the copyright and pricing discussions, I never noticed that FCL has gone so far with the Leon Custom. They deliberately cut the epaulet and belt from the jacket to make it look like the owner did his own custom work on a jacket. You now have two exposed half of the snap buttons that look odd in addition to becoming useless (unless you are into fashion brand jacket by like say Helmut Lang or Martin Maison Margiela) and only two loops in front which won't allow you to put your own belt. I have seen people modify their leather jackets by cutting the epaulet and/or the belt but the manufacturer doing that is simply nuts. This is clearly not the same as say LVC pre-distressed jeans, jackets or shirts.

Well you could snap a pike nut on the worthless male end of the epaulettes snap, throw on a slayer t-shirt, rip your jeans and burn through a pack of Marlboro reds, to complete the look. LOL. In other words. Yes, I agree.

Imagine if the loop and epaulet was actually completed before they snip them off... but factories make holes on brand new jeans, and tattered trucker jacket, so perhaps it is a lot more normal in the realm of fashion

I kinda hope jeans factories make double knee jeans and give manual instruction how to diy ripping your jeans apart on the outer layer yourself, so i can just throw away the manual and wear the double layered jeans instead.

I did mention LVC predistressed items but that is to imitate wear and tear. The Leon has brand spanking new leather and yet is missing the epaulets and belts. That's is like you have a brand new shinny truck and you deliberately break your tail light only in stead of running it through the dirt first then breaking your tail light.

the error is how they snip it neatly with sharp scissors, it should be looking gnawed off by a rabid werewolf. they should construct a robotic direwolf jaw for that purpose

Yep, they did that, alright. For additional giggles, check out the description of the jacket on selfedge.com. The way the cut off edges will age, specifically.

@navetsea they're working on it...

Is this how they think boars see wolves? Were the red glowing eyes really necessary?

I did read the Selfedge and that's how I found out it was intentional.
"In the Shinto belief, the ōkami ("wolf") is regarded as a messenger of the kami spirits and also offers protection against crop raiders such as the wild boar and deer."

I will ponder on that while combing my pebble garden :D surely they love their crop more than their livestock.

Man if all they want is to see how the exposed raw cut would patina, just add some scrap as zipper pull, wearer will touch it daily thus patina will grow fast.

Arm creases look faked to me. Like a movie prop.

My old Schott horse hide jacket never creased like that (not even close) and I wore it for 15 years.
I can attest that the arm creasing is authentic. I've been wearing my jacket for the past three days and they already developing some nice patina and creasing. And the jacket is soft as butter:)

Hi Guys. First time posting here. I noticed a little farther back in the threat someone mentioned they were looking for sizing advice on the FCL Leon (The Noster). I've been searching for one for months now and was wondering if anyone had purchased one and if so, what their thoughts on sizing and feel were.
I bought the leon custom in a size 42 and it fits like a medium in terms of leather jackets. For reference I am 5'11, 175lbs, athletic build.

Looks bad doesn't it. Mismatched left and right main panels looks like an awful screw up, rather than something intentional.
As a reference, my leon custom from them does not have any mismatched panel. It is the brown version that was only available through custom order. My jacket is even throughout and the brown horsehide is cigar colored

Damn, I was actually the first to order the leon custom in brown. I'd thought I will be the only one with it, but I guess Yoshikatsu Yamazaki decided to put the jacket in his rotation. I'd just picked mines up from self-edge in NYC and it is absolutely gorgeous.

I just saw this on IG. Looks like Fine Creek is showing this at Liberty Fairs in NYC.

Just received my FCL custom 2mm Leon. I went to Rivet & Hide as always since Danny Hodgson and co. provides amazing service (also prefer that this version of the custom doesn't have the epaulettes cut off as mentioned above, but better - they simply aren't even added in the first place!).

I always think Perfectos look worst when new, so hoping to break this in quickly!

Congrats, seems to fit perfectly and looks good on you. I just wonder why the 2mm (basically 5oz) horsehide is such a light weight compared to 3-4oz horsehides from Horween or Lost Worlds. Perhaps because of the vegetable tanning method?
