Eric, inspired by the Stratoliner pin, I wear an small MG badge on my Biltmore. The badge was originally a lapel pin, I snipped half of the shaft off sharpened the cut to a dull point, pierced the hat band just below the bow and used a retaining clip to hold the pin in place. The retaining clip is similar to that used on ear adornments when the ear has been pierced. I can tell you that the badge never moves.

How I love the Stratoliner, Esther made me a clone, and a very good one it is too, but seeing the original, and one so well preserved as your's, makes me remember that old expression: "I can resist anything, except temptation."

A Borsalino Ipersca in misto Ionio... which offers you not too much other than a very beautiful Italian hat.

After three days of continuous rain, a semi flooding of the garages and a terrible cold, today the sun has come to dry Italy

It is a homburg with the pleated ribbon and the brim edged, the color, of course, is black on black

Have a nice day!
Thanks for showing your hats, they were a good remedy, between one sneeze and another
Super looking Homburg, Daniele. Get well soon.

Great Hornskov, Marcel. I'm definitely going to have to get down to Copenhagen and add one to the collection.
Imo, brim down on that one. Gives it that iconic 40s-50s style concomitant to the shape and overall look of the hat.

Brim up is cool too, thanks.
You defenitely need a Hornskov, especially when you live in Denmark. :p

Definitely [emoji6]
The brim up looked good, too. My preference would be down for that Hornskov though. However, you're lucky in that it works both ways. You can wear it the way you want as the mood takes you. I love hats like that [emoji4]

What started out to be a gray drab day turned out nice and sunny. Ventured out in my bespoke Stetson Whippet clone by Mike Miller at Northwest Hats. Beaver felt in a granite gray with burgundy highlights. Perfect hat for gray or sun. This felt changes color in different light, so all is good.

The second of my trio of hats via Stefan. A Tonak Antelope from 1962. Although not as fine and velvety soft as my Oberländer Antelope it is still one well made velvet hat from the heyday of post WWII Tonak hat production.

Looking good, Steve. I think it's the finest Tonak I've seen. The Rehfus Oberländer was a nice one though.

Decided on a formal Austrian Homburg for my trip to Costco this morning (had to dress up, I wasn't going to Walmart or anything...), venturing out in our first real rain for weeks. This deep forest green Hut Schick dress felt gets a 1920s style pinch, after all, we are going into the second Roaring Twenties in just a few weeks! This hat is from the "onion skin" liner era, so probably very early 50s at the newest.

Good to see it and you in action, Mike. I thought it might even be pre-war, but who's to say for sure? It is proof however that I owned a green hat!:)

Thanks, Stefan. They both came out of your stable, so you know [emoji4]
This Tonak is definitely the best one I've seen and absolutely the best of the 5 I own. It's not that far behind the Rehfus either.
