Imagine being able to go into those stores back in the day and seeing all those ties waiting to be sold. I remember my Dad telling me once about having his trousers tailored at Reuben F Scarf in Annandale (inner west suburb close to Sydney) after WWII and talking about the store. I must've been 18 or 19 then and didn't understand the concept of having clothes tailor made! Hard to believe I ever thought that way when I look back on it today. Anyway, it'd would've been grand to see those stores in their heyday with all the suits and ties (and hats) on display.

Towncraft Deluxe with Luxire 3 & 3/4 inch spear point collar shirt
I saw a tie with the same design but in a different colour for sale on Ebay a few years back. If memory serves me correctly, it was red and gold. I didn't buy it and then later on, of course, I kicked myself for missing out on it!

Thanks bud. I admit to being obsessed with the spearpoint. I've got a few straight-collar shirts but everything I've had made to order from Luxire or Natty are spearpoints. I guess if you can't confess to a sartorial obsession here on the FL, then you've got no hope anywhere else! lol
