What Cap Are You Wearing Today?

Cool temps had me appreciating a wool cap. This Cordova Cap, medium wool weight, has a great zig zag pattern. I have found it easy to pair with my cool weather outerwear.

This pic was taken just as snow flakes started falling. Tonight enough snow has accumulated to give the ground a white haze.

Another flat tire... 2 now within the past 4 months. This is getting old. My Cordova cap kept me warm and dry while I changed the tire.

Thanks. This is a vintage cap made for a haberdasher in Milwaukee in the 1940's. I have in mind I should send it to Johnny or Keith to model a modern cap after. It has fuzzy material in the flaps to cover the ears. Perfect cold weather cap. Worn in cool weather the flaps are folded up and out of the way. All in all a great cap for my area of the world.

The new ice on the lake is making creaky and then breaking glass sounds as the wind pushes the frozen surface ice up on the shore this afternoon. Wool Cordova cap weather for sure.

The "Original Boston Scally Cap" in grey Herringbone. It looks a little smallish on my head because the two previous Ivy caps I bought fit fine on the first day but were somehow quite a bit looser on day two, so I went down one size when I ordered this one; it's snug, but comfortable. Not a bad cap, but in my opinion the quality of the materials and the workmanship don't justify the asking price, particularly when you can get a far nicer Brixton Hats cap or Walrus Hats cap for a bit less.

+1 to your review sir. Early on I picked up a Scally and gave it away to a relative who liked it.

Uncharacteristically for me (I only own 2 caps).....this Borsalino cashmere 8 panel.....I have to be outside for funeral services and it is VERY windy (25-30 mile winds with 60 mile gusts). So this hat is FAR less likely to blow off my head!!!!
