Lewis Leathers 391, Opinions on fit

I just received my LL Lighting 391 jacket which I ordered at their London store couple months ago as made-to-measure. It's my first "real" leather jacket so would like to hear opinions about the fit.

My own opinion is that it feels good, but does it look like too big in the back? Or is it supposed to be like this? I tried the jackets on in their store, size 38 fit me best, I couldn't even zip up the 36. This is size 38 with the body length shortened just a bit and added some more sleeve length. Both me and the sales person thought that the size was otherwise good when I was at the store.

Looks a good fit to me. I wouldn’t want it any tighter.

Is this the standard model or the T model (Tight fit)? The shoulder looks a bit narrow when zipped up?

It's the standard model. Shoulders and chest feel very good, snug but not tight. I have a t-shirt and wool sweater under the jacket in the pictures. Here are a couple more with just t-shirt under and wearing with jeans.

The fit I'm after is pretty much the classic fit that is also suitable for riding even though I don't ride a motorcycle (at least yet). ll2.jpg ll3.jpg ll4.jpg ll5.jpg

Great Jacket!

Fit is a bit hard to judge. Your pix are taken with a slight upward angle, right? If it feels good, it IS good.
Don’t worry about the blousing in the back. The jacket doesn’t have gussets, so it needs a bit of wriggle room. I have the Lightning 401, and the back settled in nicely once the leather loosened up.

Thank you! Yes the pics are taken with a upward angle, not the most flattering angle I guess. Makes my hips stand out I think. It does feel good, not too big or too tight, easy to move in. The only thing I'm thinking is the blousing in the back but it's not that bad I guess, and it will probably settle after some wear like you said.

Maybe I overthink it which is a habit of mine when it comes to the fit.

Thank you!

No, it’s horsehide. There is some debate about this here, but I always liked it.

Front looks great, the back dip is causing a bit of a crease in the mid back but i don't think you could shorten the back without ending up with a short front.
To me it looks like it fits like it was designed to fit. I like it.

It fits you well. Keep in mind too that you may experience some very slight shortening as the leather crinkles from wear. Enjoy the new jacket.

Fits good. I agree the angle of pics throws the perception off a bit. It's leather and will settle to an even better fit and drape. We tend to over think this stuff but wear it an enjoy it!
