query on old pair of workwear trousers

I wonder if anyone has ever seen anything like these or has any info ?

Interesting they're fireman's trews. They put me in mind of a pattern that could be adapted as an alternative to jeans. I do like the wide leg... Do you know SJC at all? Sort of thing I can see Simon being interested in.
