This may not be a relevant item for the Lounge but have not found any other way to find anything - years ago on one of my trips to the SW States (have friends in NM) I came across this pair in a thrift shop. Obviously very old and worn but I bought them for interest. I've looked up the Body-guard snappers, back stamped U.S. Fastener Co. Boston but can't find anything. Interesting belt with snap attachment and front detail. Material is thick calico or canvas. The brace attachment unmarked buttons are in fact rivets. I wonder if anyone has ever seen anything like these or has any info ?
Thanks and best regards to the Lounge from London U.K.

There is a vintage seller that I come across on Ebay. VintageHaberdashers based out of Bozeman Montana. He scours the western US for vintage American clothing. Check him out on Ebay for contact or I perhaps he has a webpage. I think he would be a great source of info.

^^ So I used to live in Waterloo, IA. I can try and do some digging for these a bit more for you. I live a few hours away now but still have plenty of contacts with good life-long history up there.

Meanwhile, these folks could be a source of a Reproduction, if you are so inclined...https://redcloudscollective.com/
I have 2 pair of thier double knee waxed cotton work pants and after getting them broken in, really enjoy them now.

Welcome on board - always good to have more Lahdahn based folsk in these parts.

Interesting they're fireman's trews. They put me in mind of a pattern that could be adapted as an alternative to jeans. I do like the wide leg... Do you know SJC at all? Sort of thing I can see Simon being interested in.
