Aero Sheene became too tight. Need advice ;-)

Hi,
I am a proud owner of an Aero Sheene (= Aero Cafe Racer with Collar) in Size 42 which I ordered from Aero Leathers in November 2015.
Unfortunately, I have gained a few pounds (both muscle and fat) since I bought the jacket (I am 180cm and 84kg now). Now I feel that the jacket restricts the movements of my shoulders too much. The jacket especially feels too tight around my lats (upper back) when I (try to) antevert my arms. (I did a lot of pullups since I bought the jacket). Unfortunately, I bought the jacket without a biswing back which probably was a mistake.
I think the shoulder width is probably still o.k.
Now, I rarely wear the jacket because it feels to tight with a sweater/pullover underneath. And that's not what the jacket deserves ;-)

I am now thinking about two options:
1) Order a Sheene with biswing back in Size 42 (or try to find a used one on Ebay).
2) Order a Sheene with biswing back and ask for a special size 43.

Specifications of my jacket:
- Size: 42"
- Leather: CXFQHH
- Lining: Brown Cotton Drill
- Storm Cuffs: No
- Sleeve Length (according to Aero Production Sheet): 25.75"
- Body Length (according to Aero Production Sheet): 27.25"

What do you recommend?

Greetings from Germany,
Philipp

PS: In the images, I am wearing a sweater/pullover underneath the jacket.
Sorry for the bad quality of the photos.

I had this problem. I minimised carb and alcohol intake, exercised more (swimming and light lifting) and the jacket fit. Life was so diminished that I started eating noodles and rice again, got ales in, quit exercising and still enjoyed the jacket more.

Really not all that bad of fit based off what I can see in the photos. I'd be in direct touch with Aero and get a bittle better fit up for the next on if you decide to go that route. Yes, I really struggle with loosing weight, seems I just re-proportion it as of late. Been around 195 lbs for over 15 years.

The jacket looks ok in the shots. Get a 44 if you are unhappy. You could use an extra inch in the body length too, but that's a taste thing.

The pit to pit is the critical measurement - what is the jacket across the chest under the arms? A 42 Sheene should be around 22 to 23 inches. I am seven cm's taller than you and 4 kilos heavier I generally fit a 42 Aero myself.

Thank you very much for your answers.
Probably loosing weight is not very realistic since my girlfriend prefers my physique the way it is now ;-)
I always tend to have slim legs and a rather bulky upper torso and that's where the jacket is too tight now... The pit to pit measurement is around 23 inches.
I think I will get in touch with Aero to rediscuss this ;)

Ultimately only you know if you're going to be comfortable in a jacket. These pics however don't appear to be small in any way at all. In fact, the cut seems somewhat generous.

Note that most of the bi-swing shoulder gussets are not that functional and don't add a significant amount of additional reach. A full bi-swing back however is another thing entirely.

Just wet stretch the shoulders, that’s what I did with my jacket which was too tight in the shoulders. Completely soak the jacket by submerging it until it’s soaked through, put it on zip it up and flex and stretch like hell for a few minutes, every so often until it’s dry. You can gain close to an inch on every measurement using this method.

I have to agree it looks like it fits but only you can know what works for you.
