I purchased an Eastman RAF Irvin Early version about 10 years ago. Its been in the closet for about 4 years now as I seem to have outgrown it!! I wanted to sell it to a good home but I can't find an identifier on the jacket. It was marked as a size 38. I ordered it, at that time with a form for all the measurements. How can I identify it as Eastman when I put it up for sale??

It is a Links pattern, on which both Eastman and Cockpit (Southampton) were based, but this looks like neither.
You need John Lever...

Don'y know who Lever is, maybe he has an answer? I do know however that it must have been my jacket that got cooked. Moved and threw a bunch of stuff in an old trunk my parents had. House has a big closet/ furnace room. Put the trunk and a couple garment bags in there with some other stuff. Year and a half or so later, wondered about the other jacket as one was in the closet. Found one of the garment bags behind the trunk really close to the furnace. First thing out was an Irvin with a right sleeve cooked solid. Tried to straighten it and the leather was cracking out. There was no saving that one. It even smelled cooked!
