The Zephyr is just a visual pleasure.

Curious I googled the word and have been enjoying finding out about the origion and uses of the word. I was reading that zephyr can be a a soft gentle breeze or a a fine cotton gingham. Merriam-Webster suggests that "Breezy zephyr may have blown into English with the help of William Shakespeare, who used the word in his 1611 play Cymbeline: "Thou divine Nature, thou thyself thou blazon'st / In these two princely boys! They are as gentle / As zephyrs blowing below the violet."

It is a glorious cap with an intriguing name.

Congrats on the upcoming new Cap Day. I can not wait to see pics of your wearing it out on cap adventures. BTW: I send good wishes to you on your upcoming procedure.

Blackthorn; What a great colorful backdrop to your newsboy. What tales of travel your caps could tell.

Hi Ho, Hi Ho it was back to work I go this afternoon sport n' a cap.

Here are the pics of my new winter cap from Jonathan Cordova. I have been wanting this cap for about 2 years now. I finally just ordered it!

Vintage nubby plaid. A heavy wool, I think Jonathan said it was from the 30s. In any event, I'm looking forward to a heavy wool cap for the colder weather to come this winter.

Should be here Monday, just in time to wear it to the hospital on Tuesday.

Thanks sir. I admit my cap rack is full. Choosing can be a problem. Definitely a 1st world problem.

My Cordova cap arrived while I was at work today. The first thing I noticed when picking this up was the weight. It must weigh twice what my cashmere cap does. Substantial, to be sure. Looks to be very well made, as usual, and will be warm this winter.

The colors in my picture don't do the material justice. It's not as subdued as the pics, and has slubs of dark navy and burnt orange amongst lighter blues and some browns. I am super happy with this cap.

I was so excited to try it on and get a couple pictures I didn't pay any attention at all to the maroon colored shirt I was wearing. Ha!

Another grand cap from Jonathan Cordova!

Glorious Doug! I love the material. Looks sharp on you. I do like the additional brim on you. It is flattering in your pics.

A daily double this fine Sunday with a new to me Monsivais wool cap (TFL Classifieds) and a brown double breasted wool overcoat (eBay):

Very sharp looking light hued wool cap. That model Monsivais wool cap is a fuller drape that I have learned to like. Congrats on the new cap.

Thanks, Eric. I'm thinking the off-white cream base color will make for a versatile piece. I originally bought it with the intent to pair with my Aero 30s half belt brown leather jacket (which should pair perfectly, at least conceptually in my head). Weather conditions, however, allowed for a maiden wearing with the brown wool coat.

I now have the bare minimum covered with a summer linen and a wool winter cap. Definitely was inspired by you and your postings to branch out into the cap realm, so I thank you and tip my cap your way.
