This is what the Dutch call black ice. Doesn't get any better than that. Makes a very distinct sound when you skate on it and you better keep moving, because it's too thin to stay in one place. When skating you'll see the cracks in the ice shooting out all around you and if it's thin enough you'll have the ice waving before you. You'd love it, Max

Edit: Just noticed the upper pic no where near represents the correct color. The lower one is closer, but the hat is much darker in reality. Obviously the lighting.

Two great hats per usual Stefan. I wish I could pet that nutria, that felt must be really something special. Interesting liner on the Mayser, it almost has the look of a Hückel.

I like the color of this black cherry Dave. Is it from the "current" dye lots? They have a tendency to be darker than the Black Cherry of a few years ago. Love the ribbon and contrasts.

I still need an aerodynamic choice of hat for some last minute shopping for the wife. I think I will also wear this Biltmore Imperial in congnac for tonight's caroling tours of the Monteith Historical District. This is a modern derby, but still very high quality construction.
