A question popped into my head today as I was walking down the street in beautiful sunshine and saw my shadow: why do I always have the sensation of an archetypal image, a kind of Everyman-ish feeling every time I see my shadow when I'm wearing a hat, and I don't have it when I'm not? Curious to me.
