Thanks Ross! I found a stash of 1930s silk and wool ties at one flea market, but they had been in a booth with a west facing window for years apparently and they had just disintegrated. The tags were almost faded away as well, but I think they were $3.00 each. Sad.

That is an exceptional selection of them, Eric! I especially like the black and brown ones at the top of the stack. It has been in my (admittedly limited) experience with bowties that those sorts of space age graphics are most often found on the clip-ons.How about some love for the clip on bow tie.

That's a fine looking Palladium you posted, as well.
As an aside.... I have a hat I acquired awhile back that was a store brand from Anthony's. It has that same A in a circle logo on it's box that is on your tray of ties.

I thought you might enjoy the space age like graphics. Rarely do I wear a bow tie, but I will have to make exceptions for these. They clip on - I have not clipped on a bow tie since a 3rd grade concert program.

Don't know where that pic is from. All I learned about Anthony's was that they started out in Oklahoma back in the late 1800s. There were no such places down around my part of the country, so I was unfamiliar with the name when I found the hat.

Superba Cavarat day here in Minnesota. This tie was sold by Fred Smith Co., S.Carolina.
This 40's tie has a glorious blue background and has a teal green "heart" pattern. I like that the knot is all blue and that the front blade showcases the pattern. Excellent tie.
I will be wearing this tie more often.
