Y'all know how much I love Himel so I will simply say that this is not only your best fitting jacket, but it may be the best fitting jacket I have yet to see on this forum.

Unsurprisingly, Dave nailed both of my custom fitted jackets and they are my best fitting garments.

A closer look on the aging of my Himel’s Chevalier jacket, after 3 years of use. The grain has started to pop up, and a nice patina begins to show at wear areas (sleeve, belt). The jacket has now perfectly shaped to my body, and is so confortable to wear.

Carlos, I see your picture on the Lost Words site in a LeathertogsA. Can you give a brief comparison? The two jackets share similarities from the front.

I am currently at 45, but seeing them all on a rack has made me realize how ridiculouse it is and i have decided to get rid of a few i don't wear...

I haven't really worn the LT/B at all, it has been far too warm since i received it.
From the little i have worn it they felt very similar.
To me the LT/A feels a bit tighter overall, but it oculd be because it is much much thicker than my LT/B,
Other than that, they really follow the same overall pattern, both have great forward/upwards reach, super comfortable, they are in my top 5 favourite jackets to wear.

I was not clear with my question. I am curious how you would compare your LW leathertogsA with your Himel Chevalier. When I look at Himel's Chevalier I thing of the leathertogs. It seems to me Himel does not reproduce one singular jacket patern, they design jackets around a more general period design putting their own design talents into their jacket models. Whereas Lost World and quite a few other jacket makers ar reproduce a close copy of an original jacket. John Chapman and I believe Aero goes as far as to disassemble jackets to make patterns.
I know they would use different leather, I am interested in your opinion of the designs and general details and feel of the jackets worn

Why would it be ridiculous? It's cool, it's a hobby, you're passionate about and most of all successful and have something to show for all the time and work you've invested into it. It's not ridiculous, it shows dedication and that you're serious about it. It tells you truly care for something and more importantly, that you won't go half-ass about it.

What do I got? Nothing.

On one hand i agree with you, on the other i am deeply conscious that this line of leather jacket is also a pretty intense representation of my struggle with addiction and my obsessive compulsive personality disorder.
One part of me looks at it and goes "Rock on, this is awesome" the other part of me goes "WTF are you doing you lunatic".
It's a bit of a love/hate thing, because i really enjoy these jackets, but they are a showing tale of me loosing my self control.

It was easier to ignore back in london because i had small stashes of jackets spread all over my flat, i didn't even know how many i had.
Seeing all of them together and realizing i had so many was a bit of a shock for me.

Man I couldn't live with that many jackets at one time. It would gnaw at me. Next to impossible to get wear all of them so at a certain point it's a collection merely for the sake of collecting. Not judging by any means...I've had hundreds of jackets pass through my doors but never so many at once stayed put. I've found that when I get over 6 hanging in a row in my closet I feel like I'm just hoarding, could also be that my thirst for these things isn't quite the same as it was even a few years back. I'm also not saying this in order to push you to sell me one or two of those jackets of yours...

...or am I?

I can relate to both sides of your reasoning and it's something ultimately you will have to decide on but the way I see it, as long as it's not affecting your life in a negative way, ie. staying out of money because you're spending it all on your addiction or disregarding priorities just to get another leather fix, I don't see why you should think of this as anything more than a truly awesome, diverse, mega high quality collection. Even if I didn't care about clothes and didn't know you could collect leather jackets, what this rack would speak to me is that here's a dude that cares for his appearance which again can't be anything but a good thing.

If there's a jacket on that rack you'll wear just one day in a year, it was worth it.

I find the dedication & the willingness to keep your jackets extremely commendable as I know how difficult this is. It appears simple, you just spend a lot of money and good clothes will appear but it's not. We know exactly what we want and no amount of money guarantees it's what we're going to get. Ultimately, a jacket you can't wear is worthless. This hobby is risky and a failed purchase is more likely outcome, which is what makes a well rounded, good collection all the more impressive. So rock on, this indeed is awesome!
