The soles on them are the standard crepe soles as found on the 877 and they are even more comfortable than what is on the Chukkas.

Unfortunately some genius decided only ladies wanted these and they stopped making them two or three years ago. Currently they are only available in ladies sizes.

If you find a pair you should get them, they are the most comfortable engineers i have worn. They feel like big leather sneakers.

Edit: are those a new version? are they making them in men sizes again? What is the model number?

they are men’s though, very limited size range. Been wearing the chukkas all morning. These things are really fantastic. I love them.

So these are the same as mine, but B stock.
They were discontinued years ago (2016 i think), some websites still have a couple very small sizes but they are almost impossible to find new in a larger size nowadays.
They have just released these, but only for women:

They also do the Chukkas in black "rough and tough" leather, it's really nice, gets a nice patina as it ages.

I hear you and I can’t argue with your logic. I have a pair of Ecco light hiking boots, much like a high top leather sneaker, which are possibly the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn.
I do love my boots though and I have found that Wesco and White’s both have an arch and a shape that is very comfortable for my feet. I’m also quite used to wearing boots. At work I wear steel toed Red Wings every day so they feel very natural to me.

I wear mostly Paraboot footwear (French).
-Avignon: light, medium and dark brown (i.e. "gringo") 1st pic (light brown)
-Chambord: black shoes (2nd and 3rd pics)
-Bergerac: dark brown ("gringo") boots (4th pic)
I also wear army boots, especially
Matterhorn: Invincible army boots (black) (5th pic)

My William Lennon 78TC and 107F boots, both in Horween CXL, black and cordovan. They're good solid boots with a stiff midsole so they provide a lot of support but need a while to break in. These both have Vibram soles. The cordovan ones have brass eyelets (don't know where I got that idea).

Wesco x Iron Heart burlap rough out engineers. I bought these boots on a whim after they were deeply discounted on the IH sale page. Ironically they have turned out to be one of my favorite pairs of engineers. They are a little larger than any of my other Wesco boots and that allowed me to slip an Archmold arch support into the boot. Now they fit great and I often wear them out on 3-5 mile walks.

Hey All!

So Im a member of several vintage and heritage boot Facebook groups. Recently have been seeing these pop up. Hell of a name they have. Named after their favorite part of the animal, the best parts for boot-making.

They are located in the Netherlands, built in Portugal. Ive been hearing such great feedback on the groups Im in. They say stitching/construction is better than a Wolverine or Red Wing, Thursday, Oak Street etc...and very comfortable out of the box.

The price point is whats holding me back on grabbing a pair at the moment. After conversion comes out to like 440 dollars. More than most "Heritage" makers or niche boot companies. But not nearly as much as most Whites, Nicks, Lofgrens, RMC, Role Club and those sorts.

Going to keep my eyes open for any up on Ebay or Grailed. If any boot collectors here have had any I would love to hear your feedback

Black CXL. The brown showing through in these pics looks more prominent than it does IRL because of the bright sun.
